This collection (1963-1991, n.d.) contains promotional materials; articles related to the Unification Church in Ames, Iowa and nationally; CAUSA International meeting and seminar materials; correspondence; instructional literature and notes; religious freedom rally memoranda, articles and other materials; and activity announcements for the Unification Community Action Program (Uni-C.A.P.). Most of the materials are related to Iowa State University/Ames, Des Moines and Iowa but the collection also includes materials from the national Unification Church and its affiliated organizations. The promotional materials include brochures, activity announcements and flyers for activities in Ames, Des Moines and other areas of Iowa. The correspondence covers numerous topics (including the organization of a campus CARP group, invitations, and requests for Unification Church publications) and authors (including state and national Unification Church organizations and a member of the Unification Church in Ames). The Religious Freedom Rally materials contain memorandums released by the Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Freedom which was based in the Midwest and included representatives from Iowa. Several of these committees had been formed around the country to protest government involvement in religious affairs.
